# Curate your AI Knowledge with an agent

Your **AI Knowledge** is the approved content your AI draws on when it answers customers — the FAQs, products, and promos it can quote, plus a **business profile** that tells it who you are, when you're open, what tone to use, and which languages to reply in. Your AI only ever answers from content you've approved, so keeping this fresh is one of the most useful jobs you can hand to an agent.

Once your agent is connected (see *Connect Claude Code to your account*), you can just ask it to help you tidy, grow, and check your knowledge — in plain language.

## Before you start

* A connected AI agent, with an access key that includes the **AI Knowledge** permission.
* If the agent says it's "missing a permission," that's the safety design working — turn the permission on in **Settings → API & Agents**, or leave it off on purpose if you'd rather curate knowledge yourself. (See *What your AI agent can and can't do*.)

## Turn real questions into FAQs

The best FAQs come from what customers actually ask. Try:

> "Look through last week's resolved conversations and draft FAQs for the questions that keep coming up."

The agent drafts entries for you to review. Nothing goes live to customers until **you approve it**.

## Add products and time‑limited promos

* **Products** — "Add our three coffee packages, with prices." Each entry can carry a **price**, so the AI quotes the right figure.
* **Promos** — "Add a Merdeka promo, 20% off, running 25–31 August." A promo only answers within the dates you set, then quietly stops — no need to remember to remove it.

## Preview what the AI would use

Before trusting an answer, check it. Ask:

> "For the question 'Do you deliver to Sabah?', show me what the AI would pull up."

The agent runs a **dry‑run** — no customer sees anything — so you can spot gaps or wrong entries and fix them first.

## Edit, approve, or remove entries

Ask the agent to reword an answer, **approve** the drafts you're happy with, or remove anything out of date. You stay the final say on what your AI is allowed to tell customers.

## Keep your business profile current

Ask it to update the essentials the AI relies on every reply:

> "Set our hours to 9am–6pm, Monday to Friday, use a friendly tone, and reply in English and Malay."

That covers your **name, hours, tone**, and the **languages** the AI answers in.

## What stays in the dashboard

Auto‑**generating** a whole knowledge base from an uploaded document is still a dashboard job — the agent can't trigger that yet. It can, however, draft FAQ entries for you from real conversations, which is often faster anyway.

## Every change counts toward your allowance

Each action the agent takes — adding, editing, or approving an entry — counts toward your plan's **monthly allowance**. You can see per‑key usage in the **Calls** column under **Settings → API & Agents**. If you run out, the agent pauses with a **"quota exceeded"** message that resets at your next billing renewal. Only **successful** actions count. Need more sooner? Upgrading raises your allowance right away; a downgrade or same‑tier change won't reset it early.
