Usually, during the first 7 days, WhatsApp will monitor the activities of each new number over a continuous 7-day period. It is recommended that you send test messages to different contacts and gradually increase the number of contacts each day. For example:
| Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5 | Day 6 | Day 7 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20 contacts | 35 contacts | 50 contacts | 65 contacts | 80 contacts | 95 contacts | 110 contacts |
Tips:
- Use the number naturally in its first week — chat with people you know, join groups you’re genuinely part of, and receive messages as well as send them. Two-way activity is what builds trust with WhatsApp.
- If you proactively send WhatsApp messages, it is very important that the first message prompts them to reply with something simple, like “YES.” This way, WhatsApp is less likely to consider it as spam.
- Then, divide your customers into small groups and gradually send messages to your contacts each day, slowly increasing the quantity. For example, send to 30 contacts on the first day, 60 on the second day, then 100, 200, 500, and so on, gradually increasing the numbers.
- Maintain several WhatsApp numbers and rotate between them when sending blasts.
Once your number is warmed up, you can start sending bulk messages — see WhatsApp blasting to learn how to create and schedule one.
